I really need that lamp. I've tried pointing an incandescent light bulb at the tank to keep the water warm, but that just creates a reflection on the far side of the tank, which Eddie thinks is another fish, so he tries to fight with it. Stupid fish.

My beta fished lasted for over 2 years. I had him in 4th grade, and his name was Makuta. :P
Then we went away and left it with the neighbors and their cat got to it.

The really annoying thing is in my house, we have no real light bulbs. We are a strictly eco-bulb house, and dad throws a fit if we buy anything else... so our light bulbs don't give off heat. xD
He's in the hottest room of the house, though, so he's usually okay.
