k this owns

Also these ships look slightly familiar.

AdioBam - November 14, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
lol there's my ship.

Melancholy Spork - November 14, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I know. This is the opening cinematic for the first mission in the game. It's still prelim.

Giddy Fork - November 14, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
That ship looks completely out of place IMO

The Conceptualist - November 14, 2007 11:07 PM (GMT)
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many asteroids.

Melancholy Spork - November 14, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
You don't have to avoid them. :P

Giddy Fork - November 14, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
OH YES YOU DO

The Screen Saver - November 14, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
Actually Pang is right. The "normal" ships are white and have no outline (Sort of) whereas the protagonist's is all dark, with outlines. Looks weird.

And over 9000 colors.

No offense Greg.

AdioBam - November 14, 2007 11:32 PM (GMT)
Yea, but Boba Fett worked for the Empire for a time and his ship clashed horribly with imperial fighters.

God forbid I include detail!

Lyger - November 14, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
Silver actually... I made those ships you see in the fleet, and yeah... it's supposed to be silver and dark gray.

Melancholy Spork - November 15, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Well, Greg, do you want to remove the outline and even out the tones a little?

I honestly don't think it's a problem considering you'll barely have enough time to comprehend the clash, but we should keep a consistent style.

The Screen Saver - November 15, 2007 12:22 AM (GMT)
...yeah it's mostly the massive amount of detail in the main ship.

Melancholy Spork - November 15, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
Your ship needs to look distinct.

AdioBam - November 15, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
Actually, there is really no defined outline in the way you think there is, it uses the same style of outlining that the other ships use. The pallete is just darker.

Additionally, I agree with Garrett; the main character is supposed to be a mercenary, not another soldier. Of course his ship should look different than the sleek, expensive, generic military ship.

And when I say generic, I mean that in the nicest possible way, lyg.

Melancholy Spork - November 15, 2007 03:47 AM (GMT)
I won't really say that there isn't a clash, but I think it's neglectable given that if we changed it you'd be complaining about how indistinct it is.

AdioBam - November 15, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
Personally, I would blame Bush, but that's just me.

Melancholy Spork - November 15, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Whoever it is you're mocking for blaming Bush isn't someone I've ever actually heard use Bush as an excuse for everything. :P

AdioBam - November 15, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)
No one has mocked Bush for EVERYTHING, to my knowledge, but I've heard some pretty ridiculous things coming out of the mouths of some liberal bloggers. Those insults to the democratic party are who I'm mocking.

Egocentric Utensil - November 15, 2007 04:10 AM (GMT)
Come on, you can't blame the bloggers. They can't help it if they sound ridiculous.

I would hold Bush personally responsible for that. ;)

AdioBam - November 15, 2007 12:41 PM (GMT)
You CAME blame the bloggers? Leppy, I am surprised at you!

UPSILON - November 15, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
OSNAP they ran out of fuel!

No, it's that it looks totally unrealistic.

neglectable = not word
negligible = word

Do you use Fire Fox? It automatically underlines words it doesn't recognize in red.

Melancholy Spork - November 15, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
The idea is that you're flying through an asteroid belt.

AdioBam - November 16, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
We're flying OVER the asteroids.

Melancholy Spork - November 16, 2007 03:35 AM (GMT)
I will agree, though, that the asteroids need to look better.

Greg, up for drawing a few rocks?

AdioBam - November 16, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
Personally, I'd leave that to Th3w, seeing as I'm no good at stuff like rocks. Plus, I'm beginning working on a new tank.
I kind of like the asteroids how they are, actually.

Melancholy Spork - November 16, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
Th3w is busy. What are you pixeling? Enemies? We need those.

AdioBam - November 16, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
I'm working on a tank. I haven't officially made it yet, I've just drawn a concept so far.

Melancholy Spork - November 16, 2007 10:28 PM (GMT)
Show us?

The Screen Saver - November 16, 2007 10:33 PM (GMT)
Guys, you do know you're in the fan forum, right?

The Conceptualist - November 17, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
I'll be honest, I'm not quite sure what it is that makes the image "off", but I think it's number of 'stroids.

P.S. 'Stroid is officially the slang term for asteroid.

AdioBam - November 17, 2007 12:41 AM (GMT)
Alg, if I knew how to work our new printer, you would've seen it days ago.

I swear, if all of my stuff gets replaced, I am officially gonna leave anaglyph. I only stay where I am needed.

(unless you mean enemy tank)

AdioBam - November 18, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Yea, it's an enemy tank.

Melancholy Spork - November 18, 2007 04:29 AM (GMT)
We haven't replaced anything you've made so far, Ups.
